Through December 2007, the governor of Montana has approved 72 Upper Clark Fork River Basin restoration

streams, restore the aquatic and terrestrial resources at the site, and replace the Bonner Pedestrian
Bridge
- replace about 27 miles of leaking public water supply lines servicing Anaconda and Butte residents,
saving millions of gallons of water
- rehabilitate a 1,115 acre-foot drinking water reservoir and replace a 2.5 million gallon drinking-water
storage tank for Butte residents
- acquire, through fee-title or easement, about 17,100 acres of quality fish and wildlife habitat
in the Upper Clark Fork River Basin for resource protection and public enjoyment
- restore aquatic and riparian habitat along approximately 65 miles of tributary streams in the Upper
Clark Fork River Basin
- create 9.5 miles of greenway trail along restored Silver Bow Creek and German Gulch
- educate Basin school children and teachers about restoration (34 schools)
- improve upland wildlife habitat through off-stream water development and prescribed grazing projects
covering 58,630 acres in the Upper Clark Fork River Basin
- assess future water system needs for the City of Butte
- map wetland and riparian areas in the eastern half of the Basin
