Clark Fork Watershed Education Program
In 2004, the Natural Resource Damage Program funded a Montana Tech proposal to implement the Clark Fork Watershed Education Program (CFWEP). This project uses Silver Bow Creek and the Clark Fork River as large-scale outdoor laboratories for a field science program that incorporates classroom and field work. CFWEP works with students and their teachers to foster environmental stewardship and science-based decision making. For additional information on the project, see the Clark Fork Watershed Education Program website.
Upper Clark Fork River Basin Educational Multimedia Project
Other Resources
The Upper Clark Fork River Basin Remediation and Restoration Advisory Council completed an educational multimedia project. The compact disc (CD) contains movies, video, and recent and historic photos of the basin. It was designed for primary through middle school audiences throughout the basin to increase awareness of historic and current activities affecting the natural resources of the area. The CD provides specific information on various locations in the basin including Butte, the Berkley Pit, Anaconda, Warm Springs and Milltown.
